TECHNICAL FAQ

Questions before you connect?

Use the application, voltage, current, connector and cable details together. These guides explain the decision points that matter before verified products are added to the catalog.

What size power station do I need?

List the devices you need to run, note each wattage and runtime, then compare usable Wh and continuous output. Peak output is a separate check for startup loads.

How much power does an RV use?

RV use depends on refrigeration, lighting, water pumps, electronics, heating and inverter loads. Start with a daily Wh estimate rather than choosing only by product name.

When should I choose 12V, 24V or 48V?

Match the system voltage to the battery, inverter, charger and connected equipment. Higher voltage can reduce current for the same power, but every component must be compatible.

How do I choose cable gauge?

Use the actual current, cable length, voltage, allowable voltage drop, insulation and installation conditions. A higher current or longer run generally requires a larger conductor.

What does AWG mean?

AWG is American Wire Gauge. A smaller AWG number generally indicates a larger conductor, but always verify the cable’s construction and the supplier’s rated application.

How do I choose an Anderson connector?

Match the connector family, contact size, polarity, current rating, wire gauge and mating half. Do not match by color alone.

How does voltage drop affect performance?

Voltage drop reduces the voltage delivered to the load and can create heat or unreliable behavior. Longer runs, higher current and undersized cable increase the risk.

What fuse size should I use?

The fuse must protect the conductor and follow the equipment manufacturer’s guidance. It is not selected only from the load’s normal current.
